System keyboard
Whale OS provides the system keyboard which is automatically displayed on the Whale OS screen if you let your cursor in the text window. The system keyboard is called the virtual keyboard for Whale OS. The system keyboard is the primary text input method for the Whale OS app.Using the system keyboard is recommended by us. You don't need to do anything in the code.
System keyboard UI
Whale OS includes an on-screen virtual keyboard. Different devices have some differences in the user interface of the system keyboard. But basically meet the following characteristics:
Transitions from the bottom of the screen
Covers 100% of the screen width
Covers 1/3 of the screen height
The language defaults to English. In the near future, The system keyboard matches the keyboard of the mapping language according to the country set by the device.
The virtual keyboard supports various layouts:
Standard QWERTY
Alpha-numeric
Standard numeric with numbers 0-9
Standard numeric with alternate characters %, +, etc
Custom keyboard
If the system keyboard does not meet your application requirements or the application requires ui uniformity, you can also define the keyboard yourself. You need to pay attention to the following items:
Keyboard usability
UI and application coordination
Normal movement of focus
Enable custom keyboard You need to do some processing on the input box, for example:add disabled properties, etc.
